Don’t forget his dragon Spit Fyre and of course the princess Jenna. Angie Sage brings you back without any pause into this amazing page – turner.

Silas Heap unSeals a forgotten room at the palace and a Queen that lived 500 years ago was released. She was an awful woman when she was alive and is still the same as a ghost. She has this idea of everlasting life which involves Septimus to disappear and Jenna to comply. The Queen ghost has a son, Marcellus Pye, a famous Alchemist and Physician. When Septimus was gone, he was an apprentice to Marcellus Pye and learned all about more charms, alchemy and physiks.

These characters never get old to read about. All the Heap kids, Marcia, Beetle, Aunt Zelda, Silas, Sarah, and the ghost of Alther Mella, are extremely well thought out and fun to be a part of. I couldn’t put this one down. I can’t wait to live on through these amazing charaters in upcoming Heap adventures. Definately spell-binding and a quick read leaving you waiting for more.

Welcome back. All the characters you loved are back from the first book called Magyk.

By now everyone knows that Septimus Heap is alive and well. He becomes the apprentice of Extraordinary Wizard Marcia Overstrand in the Wizard Tower and Jenna is of course the princess enjoying castle life. This story is captivating and full of magical charms and spells that broaden your imagination. Some characters aren’t what you imagined from the beginning. Jenna gets kidnapped by Simon, which is Septimus’ brother. After a while she escapes and runs to the port, while back at the Castle, Septimus decides to go find her. Jenna is running from a tagger which she was put on her by Simon. Once at the port Jenna and Septimus find each other and figure out what they’re going to do. Adventure after adventure, this story will keep you turning pages no matter how old you are. I feel sorry for Simon. I think he is determined to make something of himself but is going about it all wrong and alienating himself from the Heap family. I think he doesn’t want to live in anyone shadow. This story has all the emotions from being mad to happy to sad.

This of course is a wonderful sequal to Magyk. I stayed entertained throughout this book also and couldn’t wait for another Septimus book so I would know what would happen next. This is definately worth reading.

Welcome the the world of Septimus Heap. Look out Harry Potter!

This is a world of magyk and all things not normal. The seventh son of the seventh son Septimus disappears after being born. On that same night a baby was found left out in the snow alone by Silas Heap. A little girl with beautiful violet eyes. Of course he takes her home and his family takes her in and loves her like their own. They named her Jenna. Not knowing who this little girl is and where she come from or what really happened to their beloved son.

Even though this book is found in the teen section, I loved it. Their world is full of magical wonders and written so it was easy to read and hard to put down.

There is a Wizard Tower, communicating ghosts, rats that deliver messages, a talking boggart is used to navigate the marshes, and of course you can’t forget the bad wizards and necromancers.

I loved all these different characters and Sage really brought them to life. There is such a variety, but not an overwhelming range, of people that are important to this story. All the way through it, I stayed interested.
