He has grown into a man with a purpose and his shoulders heavy with the burden of being the only Dragon Rider. He isn’t the only Rider but he is the only one that is fighting for the rights of the people against the king. In this third installment of the Inheritance Trilogy, Eragon has many important promises to keep. Can he help his cousin Roran rescue his beloved from King Galbatorix? He is torn between his cousin and their hometown of Carvahall and helping the Varden. The Varden consists of the dwarves and elves and of course Eragon, who is their only hope to rid the empire of tyranny.
Eragon’s biggest promise is to gather all the resistance to fight as one in order to defeat the king.

Paolini was decided to make this series a trilogy but couldn’t seem to stop so look for the fourth book of this amazing series sometime soon.

He is now known as Shadeslayer since he killed the King’s Shade. Now in this second book, Eragon needs to go to the elves land called Elesmera to train more on magic and swordmanship. His adventures bring him to meet an unsuspecting elf. He spends time with this secret elf who is able to teach him so much about being a Rider. His relationship with Saphira becomes much stronger once they both learn more in controlling his magic and control over himself. Eragon also learns more about the love of his life. He also learns much during his time with all the elves about how to be a better person and stand up for his beliefs which in turn betters himself and Saphira. There is an adventure at every turn for Eragon and his Dragon.

Meanwhile Roran, Eragon’s cousin, is battling back at home in Carvahall against the evil king and his minions. Will Eragon’s adventures take him back to his cousin and hometown or will the Dragon Rider and his dragon have to face evil everywhere else? You have to read this to find out.

Paolini is an awesome writer. His mind is genius the way he can come up with all the sci-fi and fantasy along with the different languages. I love this book. There are so many twists and turns in here that you’ll not be able to put it down.

A boy who isn’t wealthy with money but has been brought up by his uncle to value the right things in life is given a gift. While hunting in the woods for deer, Eragon comes across a beautiful rock that he tries to sell at the market for some meat but the butcher won’t take it since Eragon found it in the Spine.

Taking it home and getting back to doing chores, Eragon realizes that the blue rock is an egg, a DRAGON’S EGG. He soon realizes that all he has known is now gone. A boy, his dragon, and an old storyteller, adventure through lands run by an evil king who doesn’t like to be bested by anyone or anything.
Eragon becomes the new Dragon Rider and while learning magic and power, he also learns his destiny. Can the Dragon Rider and his young dragon help the Varden defeat the evil king?

Paolini wasn’t even 20 yet when he wrote this book. An absolute fantastic world to live in outside of reality. I was very engrossed into this book and couldn’t wait until the next one came out so I could get my fix of Alagaesia.
