This book was the bomb. I couldn’t seem to put it down. The story line is written well and is able to capture your interest from the first few pages and hold it as well throughout the entire story.

Meghan Chase is an ordinary, invisible to the popular, girl who is about to have her world turns upside down and inside out. She is about to turn sixteen and having only one friend named Robbie, she gets on with life the best way she can since she lives in a swampy area in Louisiana. When something happens that Meghan can’t seem to tolerate anymore she almost breaks. Without Robbie by her side to help her through it, she wouldn’t of made it. Later that afternoon, she discovers something out of the ordinary in her little half-brother and Robbie tells her that she could stay ignorant(which is bliss, or he could let her know what is in store for her. Of course she decides to take the hard road and Robbie has to tell her about being a faery. Talk about being dropped down a rabbit hole, Meghan learns all about faery and where her brother could be and that Robbie is actually the “Puck” from A Midsummer Night’s Dream.

This isn’t your typical love story. It seems to have a forbidden love twist to it, similar to Twilight series but not the same. I have read the series 3 other times and each time there is something that I missed. It does have some happy and some sad parts but I guarantee that once you finish this story, you’ll be itching to get a hold of the next in the series. I really recommend reading this one. Especially if you are into Twilight and the forbidden love topics.

I want to tell you oh so much more but I don’t want to spoil the story. It is a great series.

Look for book 2 The Iron Queen and book 3 The Iron Daughter.

And coming in the fall is book 4 The Iron Knight
