Welcome to the pack. This book is all about the werewolves and a little of wereleopards. Hardly any vampires in it except the mess Anita gets into with the Master down in Tennessee. Richard is away working on his degree and things are going well with Anita and Jean Claude. Daniel, Richard’s brother, the only one in his family that knows he’s a werewolf, calls Anita telling her that Richard was in jail. For the wrong reasons at that. Richard was being framed for rape. He was actually trying to get over Anita and find a new lupa for the pack. He seemed to be dating and sleeping with every woman down there. More werewolves than humans though. As soon as she gets the call, Anita wants to run to his rescue. Everyone who knows Richard, knows that he wouldn’t rape anyone. So off she goes to pack. Jean Claude knocks on her door to tell her in person the news of Richard. He didn’t like the idea of her jumping down there to help after dropping everything. He is jealous of the passion that they have even though there isn’t anything going on there. The Master has refused them safe passage to get Richard. Anita doesn’t care. She was going one way or another. Jean Claude decided it was best that he stay there but sent his 2nd in command, Asher, as backup for her. Also ther were the wereleopards, Zane and Cherry, and of course Jason and then there was Damien.

There is a link between Anita and Damien that she learns more about when he’s around more. There is also the set up with Richard to figure out and for some reason the local cops are hardcore about them leaving town. Richard is doing research on some trolls that live in the area. Anita runs into the local vampires and Nathaniel gets the bad end of the deal on that one. Also the wolves have spirits from them called munin. The munin and Raina in particular rears her ugly personality and Anita has to fight for control. The local pack has difficulties with the vampires but decide to be on Anita’s side and fight with her.

During all the chaos, Anita means a vargamor for the local pack, Marianne. She is willing to help Anita control the munin and the marks between Jean Claude, Richard, and her. Also she wants to teach Anita to make herself become a better Nimir Ra and a better pard.

I thoroughly enjoyed taking a trip down to Tennessee and being more in depth with Richard, Damien, Anita, Asher, and Jason. I loved getting to know more about the leopards. I honestly loved this book. I, again, recommend this book to anyone with an imagination and looking for a great way to pass time.
