I picked up this book just out of curiousity from the name and after reading the back, which says this book is a mix of high fantasy adventure with gothic medieval thrills, I thought “I’ll try it.” Boy was I glad I bought it. Gotrek is a battle dwarf who is trying his best to die a worthy death in battle. He looks all over the Old World looking for an opponent good enough to best him. This dwarf is in my mind crazy with battle lust that takes over at a whim and he isn’t afraid of anything.

Now we get to Felix. Felix is a warrior poet that goes everywhere with Gotrek hoping to record his battles worthy of death at the hands of many evil opponents. All through this tale you will find yourself wondering how Gotrek could be so sold on dying a glorious death when he is so close to Felix. And you wonder as well why Felix sticks around throughout all the chaos. Join this adventure while Gotrek and Felix take you to the Old World to defend the weak, and slay trolls, skavens, and daemons. You won’t be sorry.

This omnibus contains the first three books of Gotrek and Felix’s adventures. Also look for the second omnibus containing three more fascinating stories of these two.
